Description: Seattle’s only indoor skatepark, Inner Space has about 7,000 square feet of skateable indoor space, including a shop with skateboards, accessories, food, and sodas. Open daily, with $5 admission after 6:30 p.m. Everyone must sign a waiver, and those under 18 must have a parent sign. In-line skates are allowed as well as skateboards. It can be a little hard to find; the skatepark is underneath Hard Hat Tool & Supply, and the entrance is at the back of the building on 35th Street. There are very few parking spots.

Description: Completed in 2009, the skatepark at Seattle Center features a surface area of 10,000 square feet, with a flowing street plaza, ledges, stairs, transitions, and state-of-the-art skating elements for all skill levels and abilities. There are even skateable sculptures and structural glass riding surfaces. Sea Sk8, as it’s known to locals, is open daily during daylight hours.

Description: The Seattle YMCA operates 12 branches in King and Snohomish Counties, which offer pools that often include lap lanes, heated water, and other features. The downtown YMCA is at this address, but others are located in the south and north parts of town. If you are a member of another YMCA outside Washington state, you will be recognized as a full member at Seattle YMCAs for up to 21 days in a calendar year, by presenting a current membership card. For additional visits, you will be expected to pay the daily membership rate. Nonmembers can still access the swimming pools and other facilities by providing valid photo identification, filling out an information card, and paying a day-use fee of $10 for adults 21 and over, and $5 for ages 13–20 (free for 12 and under).

Description: This is a BKS Iyengar yoga study center that began in a church basement in 1975. Visitors to Seattle who are looking for a place to take a yoga class may drop in to the regular, reserved-space classes (fee is $20 per class). If you have not studied Iyengar yoga in the recent past, you should take only level 1 and 2 or slow-beginning classes. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early, let the instructor know that you are a visitor, and you will need to fill out a brief form.
