Observed restroom functional and handsink with hot and cold running water. Please remove the bar soap from the restroom. Bar soap can harbor bacteria; please fill soap dispenser with liquid soap. Observed several boxes of candy stored on floor of business. Food product stored on floor. Store all food product at least 6 inches off floor to prevent potential cross contamination.

Observed restroom to grocery store non-working. All hand washing sinks must remain unobstructed and accessible during operation to ensure proper hand washing. Restroom must be operational with hot and cold running water at handsink. Handsink must be stocked with liquid soap and sanitary disposable towels.

Discussed with operator to declutter any area where icecream bunkers are stored. This icecream grocery store sells prepackaged icecream bars and candy to mobile icecream trucks. Floors must be kept clean and in a sanitary condition. Observed sunflower seed shells in several areas of the facility. Grocery store also sells tires out of the same building. Do not store tires next to equipment used in the operations of the grocery store.

Opening Inspection:(Official Opening Inspection completed on Washoe County Health District Hard Copy form) See attached....Contacted Denise Cona on 3/24/10; at approximately 1100 hours; to change Category Type from a snackbar to a Warehouse Health Permit. A new permit# was provided (F100079)Facility is approved to start operations. Facility will be assigned a (risk category 1 Warehouse Permit). No Certified Food Protection Manager required. Facility will store ice-cream in a large freezer and some pre-packaged snacks.
