Counters and sinks cleaned daily.Floors cleaned and mopped daily.Cooking activities are conducted such as preparing rice crispy treats and muffin box mixes. Please monitor for proper handwashing with both staff and children when preparing food in kitchen. Discussed no bare hand contact with ready to eat foods.Recommend date coding milk when it is removed from the freezer to be thawed in 2 door refer. Thank you.No cooking or food handling observed at time of inspection.Snack and food menu posted on site as required.Childcare kitchen is operating under the scope of its health permit. NSF refrigerator noted at 40 F. Dairy dates current. Food properly stored. No raw meat is cooked at center. Center uses dishwasher for first two steps for cleaning food service equipment and sets up bleach sanitizer for sanitizing. Reviewed with operator to wash; rinse and sanitize the 3 compartment sink prior to sanitizing. Chlorine test strips on site. Chemicals properly stored and labeled. Handsink properly stocked.Restrooms observed clean and stocked. Center is using first in first out method of rotation. Reviewed with operator handwashing procedures and sanitizing procedures for kitchen operations.Director is planning to take food safety course in 2016 for initial certification. No other employee has taken food safety course or has failed course in 2015.

General Comments that relate to this Inspection Cold holding NSF 2 door refer temped at 39 F. Childcare kitchen has a 3 compartment sink and a 2 basin sink on site. Both sinks are directly drained to sanitary sewer. A Maytag high temp sanitizing dishwasher recorded at 150 F.Handsink properly stocked. Please post a "handwashing only" sign over one of the two basins at the two basin sink. Center will follow flow chart # 2 in its food handling operations. A Certified food protection manager will be on site during any cooking activity. Lunch and snacks will be served and will consist of commercially prepackaged potentially hazardous foods such as chicken nuggets; corn dogs; deli sandwiches and canned soups; fruits and vegetables. Cut fruit and vegetables will also be served. Please post the snack menu on site and retain copies of snack menu for 90 days. Do provide a thermometer to monitor temperatures of food and acquire chlorine chemical test strips. This permit will be assigned a risk category 2 health permit. All food cooking activities will be required to have a written food safety plan and be kept on premise for review. Okay to operate; okay to issue health permit. The official health permit will arrive via USPS please post this in the childcare kithcen. An annual inspection will be conducted within 90 days. This inspection will be uannounced.
