Cesar Chavez Park


Cesar Chavez Park is located at 7858 S 35th Avenue in Sacramento, California. The park opens at five thirty in the morning and closes at eleven at night. There are a number of amenities at the park that make it an ideal place to spend the day.

The park has a library, group armadas, playground and large shade trees. There is also a sports field, and walking trail available at the park. Named for Cesar Chavez the park covers ninety acres in Berkley, California. The peninsula north of Berkeley Marina joins the Eastshore State Park. The eastern portion of the park is in the San Francisco Bay providing a view of Marin Headlands, the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco.

The open grassy hills that are characteristic of the park have become a popular place for flying kites. There are barbecue grills and picnic tables for the public along the paved paths running through the park and around the perimeter. There is a seventeen acre area where dogs can be let off there leashes. The park even has a wildlife sanctuary. With all the features and beauty of the park Cesar Chavez Park is an ideal place to visit most anytime.
