I Visited this restaurant on April 3rd around 6:30, as I entered the restaurant I held the door for the couple. I over heard them say they were going to sit at the bar. They approached the hostess stand as I did and while they were talking to the hostess this young couple walked passed everyone and sat at the bar. There were 4 stools available at that time and I said to the couple we were going to sit there and you just passed everyone and sat down. The reply I received was I should have taking the stools. I then turned to the hostess who said there was nothing she could do and said well we were waiting to ask about the bar as some restaurants reserve bar seating and I saw no sign indicating first come bar seating.

My next encounter was with my waitress who did a poor job when I asked about specials. I placed an order for Lental soup, and our meal order.

The meal came, no soup and I said to the waitress what happened to my soup I didn’t get it and she replied “that’s ok, and I didn’t know how to respond to her answer.

I finish me meal and had a conversation with the manager and he said he didn’t see anything and if I told the waitress about the couple passing everyone and taking the last two seats at the bar and I told her yes. I would suggest either post your bar seating policy but if people are waiting to speak to the hostess and looking for bar seating that they should take precedence even if someone was waiting for bar seating.

After all that frustration with the staff, I received my bill and never checked to see if the soup was removed, paid my bill at $122.00 for 2 glasses of wine, 2 entrees, and 1 desert. The senior couple that sat at the bar had 1 drink, refused to eat and said to the young couple they should be ashamed of themselves for taking the bars seats and left.

I don’t think that I will return to your restaurant based on your staffs handling of my complaint or not having clear policies and procedures.
