I enjoy Nascar more than F1 or Indy (although I will watch F1 and Indy races too).
F1 races are ok, but instead of a lot of lap by lap passing action like Nascar, their races are more about having a great car then working the strategy correctly to run well. Indy is sort of in between, like Nascar on ovals and more like F1 on road coarses. However, due to the CART/INDY split years ago, the series just has not fully recovered in talent or money to be at the same competitive level as Nascar (much less approach F1).
Basically, I think a racing fan would find enjoyment in all three, but that same fan is likely to prefer one a lot more over the others.

I suppose the indy cars do turn corners but Drag racing seems so much more "all American" and watching 8000hp of Nitro Methane power tear up the 1/4 mile in under 4 seconds is something to behold.

You dont wait that long, maybe a minute or two then 2 more go down the track, and it usually goes on from morning till evening with perhaps a dozen different classes, easy access to the pits ,good chance of talking to your favorite driver..
I think for spectators nothing is more exciting than Top Fuel and Funny car action. But that only last for a few minutes and then you have to wait another hour until they rebuild all the engines.
For longer term action and especially if you follow certain drivers then NASCAR offers the most fun per mile for spectators.
F1 is good if you like high technology but very little passing happens except on the start up lap.
If you like the do it yourself kind of racing nothing is more exciting than driving your own car on an enclosed road course. You can drive your car to the track spend about two hrs on track and then drive it home. The only thing is trying to convince your wife that you need new tires twice a year.

You make it sound like theres only 2 cars Theres usually at least 12-16 top fuelers, usually followed by at least as many Funny cars and when they have had their round many other classes fill the void till the next round of top fuelers.To me its nonstop action all day long.

Lets do the math,
16 cars = 8 races X 4 sec = 32 seconds of actual racing.
I have been to many races and except for National meets there is a lot of down time between the Pro rounds. If you enjoy watching 12 second stockers then yes there is non stop action.
Don't get me wrong I like to watch drag racing but for me other forms of racing provide more thrills.
I've posted about how the technologically amazing F1 cars are hampered by the slightest damage. Sebastian Vettel blew a tire on the first lap of the Abu Dhabi race, spun halfway around, and although he didn't hit anything, he's out of the race. An army of engineers onsite, millions of dollars worth of hardware, and the small damage the flapping tire caused takes the season champ out of the race. It's almost laughable.
I think that that is a different situation though. When you blow a tire and damage the suspension in F1, you have no chance at the win or at earning any points. He already has the championship wrapped up, why go back out?
