What are your liability limits? Do you have the maximum of 100/300? You could lower your liability coverage to the minimum which used to be 10/30, don't know if it still is or what the PA rules are.
If you have any assets you don't want low liability coverage ... even $100,000 / $300,000 is low these days.
Paying bi-annually or annually (if allowed) saves a significant % ... as in several hundred dollars versus paying monthly.
And yes, the OP's rate seems high ... but of course it depends on exactly where the vehicle is located.

That's ridiculous. State Farm charges $2/month extra to have premiums billed and paid automatically on a monthly basis rather than paying semi-annually.

errr... check your arithmetic again. Its more like $60 interest.
I live in PA and i pay $750 a year for basic liability for a 20 year old 1997 chevy tahoe. I've been with geico for over 10 years with my previous vehicles too. I have a clean driving record no tickets and it's been that way. I'm thinking of switching because it seems slightly high based on my driving record and my age 39.
Does $750 sound normal or should i look elsewhere?
Sounds ridiculous to me, I'm in Boston and pay far less on a 2004 volvo, if you have fire and theft, drop it.
If someone steals it, thank God.

I don't mean to pick on jonesg, who is trying to provide useful and helpful information, but its the last post, so please forgive me.
We've compared two different rates, for two different vehicles, in two different locations, with unknown age (for one), unknown genders, unknown marital status, unknown credit scores, unknown if either are multi-line or multi-car. Neither person has mentioned coverage limits or deductibles.
It's good to see others post just to get a rough feel for what insurance costs in various areas of the county (and it is different, and can be 3 times different)
However, as several have already said in this thread, the only way to know if you are getting a good deal on insurance or not is to get some comparison quotes. Either call a few companies, find a broker who sells multiple companies, or fill out a few on-line applications. Then you will know if it is high or not.
And when you get a new quote, please let us know how much you saved!
EDIT: Should note my comment on deductibles isn't really applicable to this thread as it is liability only, but more for general insurance threads)
I live in one of the most expensive zip codes in the country for car insurance (supposedly) and I pay $800/year for liability for two cars and I got into a wreck last year that was my fault. Both cars about 8-9 years old.
I pay $500/year for the state minimum... I think that is too high... it's all about gouging you... I am contemplating self-insurance... no tickets, no accident... credit around 850..,

$750 for just liability is extremely high for me. To put it in perspective, I pay $1k per year for full coverage at 300k/500k coverage limits for a Porsche 911 turbo. That's with a $500 deductible too IIRC. This is in TX, I'm the same age as you.
If that is for a full year, that doesn't sound bad to me. I wish I could pay by the year. Every insurance company I've ever dealt with insists upon billing by the 6 month period.
It would be easy enough for you to call around and get some quotes.

I'm in Ohio and that sounds about right to me. Thats $62.50 a month
