Kindle's not very good for non-fiction books, which often contain graphs, illustrations, maps, and photos--all of which are rendered too tiny to read and the process of magnifying them is too clunky.

Plus, navigating to each of them constantly is a pain on a kindle.

Even reading plain text on a Kindle is annoying.

I'm still buying hardcover books and always will.

I guess if gothic novels are all someone reads, then a Kindle is good enough.

I was thinking of getting one when I saw the price on the basic one dropped to $79 but think I won't now as I like to flip back too not just in non-fiction. I'll use the $79 for a nice dinner out.
