Great game overall. Good pitching by Young and great offensive power today. Valdespin had a good night. How about Davis, a hr. Bay still looks terrible. Both of Young's outings have been good. That is great to see. Lets go Mets.
I don't know who ever doubted Young; San Diego didn't let him go because he couldn't pitch. They let him go because he rarely gets through a full season without injury--the Mets knew exactly what they were getting when they signed him. I just hope he's had his injury quota for 2012, and we'll have him on the active roster for the rest of the season.

If he stays healthy, that would be a major plus for this rotation.
Dickey always makes me think of a Met pitcher whose name is killing me because I can't remember it. He was here in the 90s--a journeyman who'd been with eight or nine other teams, and never stayed with any one for even two full seasons. But he got here and found a home. I think he was with the Mets for four or five full seasons. He was a good, dependable starter. And he wore #35.
