He's now tied for second, behind Yasiel Puig

Yeah, but Puig still trails him in strikeouts.

The focus has been on the Giants bullpen, but so far the starters ERA has been:
Bumgarner 3.86
Cueto 7.20
Moore 5.06
Samardzija 10.13

Today the Giants play the Padres with a 3:40 pm Pacific time start.

Anyone know why they are playing a Friday game at this odd hour?

Home opener for the Pads. Nats & Phillies (Phillies home opener) is starting at 3:05.

Madison Bumgarner now no longer holds the team lead for home runs hit this season. He was passed by Brandon Belt.

The Giants' bullpen does it again. This time George Kontos coughs up the lead by giving up 3 7th inning runs.

The Giants' bullpen can't be as bad as they've looked over the last 50 games or so, but this must be excruciating for the team and their fans.

Also Matt Cain - probably done as a major league starter

Is this the opening that Albert Suarez has been waiting for?

Yankees beat the Orioles today 7-3. Baltimore had been the last unbeaten team in MLB. Thus the longest winning streak any team had to open the season was four games.
