Braves are 9-4 in the playoffs, and have been underdogs 12 of the 13 games, and are underdogs again for tonight's game.
Very few outside Atlanta believe in these Braves evidently. I lot of gamblers have lost lot of money on their opponents.
Last nights game was like watching wet paint dry though. I hope tonight is a slugfest 13-12 Braves win. Since the Braves have no starter, they'll throw a kitchen sink's worth of no-name hurlers at the Astro's, and the Stro's will feast. I'm just hoping the Braves bats come to life, & outslug them to get another win. I'm looking for a high scoring affair.
Yeah, it was 3 hours and 15 minutes, but it seemed longer than some four hour plus games.
The way tonight's game started off, I did not think the Braves could pull it off.
But SO MANY Astro players left on base and some great plays and timely hits, and here we are - one more win away.
Rob Manfred is Commissioner of Baseball. Should the Braves win again it will be his job to be in Atlanta and present The Commissioner's Trophy. He is the man who moved the all star game to make a political point. He may find there are about 40,000 people who disagreed with his decision.
And they may be very loud about it.
Given the moment, why did Dusty leave Javier in after the first home run ?
Baker had no choice. The rules require that, unless injured or ejected, pitchers must face at least 3 batters or complete an inning before being replaced.
