I should have said "by circumstance" as the previous poster said. At the time he was my favorite player and it felt like he was screwed over. Different situation now with Freeman, for example. He's still in his prime.

Freeman is 32, at the end of his prime ... I know, I know. I'd be hesitant to give him a massive five year deal.

Chipper was productive until what, 40? Freeman isn't in the spot Matt Ryan is, for example. I'd give him a 5 year deal, but I'm biased and hey, maybe it would be a bad decision. Maybe a 3-4 year deal, but definitely not just one year.
