I think each sport has that top tier with a limited number of players, and it seems pretty clear LeBron is on that same tier with Jordan.

I dont think so. I get what you are saying, but if we were to tier the players, Jordan would be the top of the pyramid. Lebron would be with half a dozen or more other players.

Keep in mind, Lebron's stock is higher right now than ever, but he couldve easily lost and been 2-5 in finals with some horrible performances in there. The only reason this argument is happening is the win and now being 3-4 in finals. Jordan never had a horrible performance in the playoffs.

That about as irrelevant as pointing out that in regards to Eli Manning, Joe Montana never had to face the likes of the 2007 Patriots in a Super Bowl.

No just no. A good finals doesn't simply cancel out a horrible finals.

True, but then we can look at the team around each player etc.

It really comes down to how we view a players impact on the court and with his team. The greats seem to make everyone around them better. Would Irving be such a stud without LeBron? What about Pippen with Jordan?

It's the beauty of sports.

Both shot 50% from the floor LOL. What's silly about your statement is that during Jordan's 50% seasons, he was averaging something like 33 ppg. Much more difficult to carry that kind of offensive load at 50% shooting. Why does Jordan get dinged for making his teams the best thus not being able to play a better team? That's silly.

Are you just throwing mud at the wall and hoping something sticks.

So then if Lebron is now in the debatable category then he has caught up to them. I believe in your original post you said he still needed to catch up to other players.
