I get your point.. and concur that Clark will (personally) profit from future endorsement deals. But the WNBA does not profit. It's subsidized every season by the NBA. It's never been profitable.. and I doubt a single player can fix that yet.. but who knows.
Larry Bird and Magic Johnson are widely credited for resuscitating the NBA in the 80's. With the quality of WNBA players coming out- who knows maybe another great rivalry pops up?
