I can't see LeBron getting past the Bad Boys in Detroit. He seems to be a little too laid back to overcome that.
Jordan had a killer instinct that Lebron doesn't have.
That's how I see it, when Lebron quit in the playoffs, it shows why he will never rise up to being the great Jordan was.
Lebron is the 2nd best athlete I've seen in the NBA after Wilt but like Wilt, he doesn't have the competitive fire of Bird, Magic, Russell or Jordan which is why I rank him below those 4.
You got me. From the first time I read this thread I didn’t realize you were trolling.
Gotta watch that Yankee! Some of the points are valid, others are exaggerated. A new take on an old discussion topic people can't get enough of.......who's the GOAT?
I would say Barkley, Karl Malone, James Harden (up to now), CP3 and many others are far more unlucky. I am sure they would all have liked to have had LeBrons "unluck".
I've seen people blaming Lebron for allowing Aaron Gordon, his primary defensive assignment, to go off for 29 points and 15 rebounds. But nobody bothers to ask where the help defense was? This is another advantage Jordan had over Lebron. Rodman, Kukoc and Pippen would all step up and play help-side defense since they understood MJ was carrying the offensive load. Lebron's teammates don't do this.

That's just his bad luck that Aaron Gordon is on the other team.
Good role players wanted to play around MJ, doesn't seem to be the case with Lebron.
And does that 2020 bubble championship even really count?
Phil Jackson gave my Spurs an * asterisk for the shortened 1999 season Championship. It seemed much more relevant that the bubble championship though.
The irony is that the Bubble playoffs are the one time in history the Clips outshined the Lakers. I will always remember the Bubble as the "Clippers choke" playoff year, the Lakes winning counts but seemed anti-climatic in that empty building.

MJ was not like Curry. You don't remember all the blocks and steals MJ made. He was steals leader for 1 season and made all defensive teams regularly. MJ didn't put all those bulls teams together.
Cartwirght, Wennington and Longley were not defensive specialists & they stayed in the paint. Kukoc a defensive player? c'mon.
LeBron has more influence on which defensive & offensive players the team will have. Let's not ever use his other player's reasons. He won 2 in Miami without defensive help and choked one away to Dallas.
