Only for some. Those who have rode the wave of increasing property values are not complaining. Plus there is no state income tax in WA. It isn’t all gloom and doom in the Evergreen State.

Yeah but the property taxes in WA will kill ya. Not a Senior friendly place indeed. I had to take a pass on it for that reason alone.

I'm retired here in WA and doing fine. But then again, my home is not in the Seattle area, it is in Eastern Washington, which is still relatively affordable, comparable, or somewhat less than Boise prices.

Wow, that's an insane assessed value increase and a dirty trick our county plays often down here. If we don't fight it every year we'd be priced outta here. Hopefully it doesn't do that to you again next year!

I love that northern part of Washington by the Canadian border. In the 90's it was very rural. In the Whatcom and Lynden areas.
