Speaking of Wilder, I have seen several of his fights. I was watching with the hopes that Wilder would be that guy to save the Heavyweight division. Wilder's boxing style is basically throwing right hand bombs(He is a powerful RH puncher). I was hoping for more than. Any smart boxer could avoid that one punch and give him trouble, hence Wilder's recent fights. I do think Wilder is the best of the worst, but that is not saying much. Though I am confident the title will come back home soon.

I agree. I have never been impressed with Wilder. He's simply not the guy.

Here's partially what's happened to the HW division (in the U.S. anyway).

Average NFL salary in 1980: $78,657

Average N.F.L. Salary Is $90,102, Survey Says - NYTimes.com

Average NFL salary in 2015: $2.1 million

The NFL is Last Among the Four Major North American Sports in Average Player Salary | The Big Lead

The lowest salary you can make in the NFL this season is $435,000. Less hazard, more pay.

I completely disagree that the NFL has less hazard than Professional boxing at the highest level. Then NFL destroys both your body and your mind. Boxing typically only destroys your mind; however, guys like Klitschko and Mayweather don't get hit, so they minimize their risks.

Besides, the NFL is not the place to find heavyweights. The NBA is.

You can find potential heavyweight boxers in both the NBA and NFL. When you watch NFL games, look at the linebackers, D-Line and even running backs.

I believe two names once mentioned by Don King that could of been potential heavyweights were Micheal Vick and Lebron James. I believe Lebron did do some boxing at a young age.
