A couple pictures of our first camping trip of the 2011 summer season. This was from this past weekend, up at Lake Fort Smith State Park. I loved our screened canopy, it's the best camping buy we have made up to this point!

I've never seen "Tent Pads" for you to place your tent on, that's a new one

Wow, what a beautiful place. I have been considering a trip to Arkansas in the next couple of years, and I'll have to keep this place in mind. I'm guessing it's near Fort Smith?

They also have a swimming pool with splash park. It's modern camping at it's finest!

Yes, it's between Fort Smith and Fayetteville. It's great, but they only have 30 sites, and they fill up fast, so I recommend reservations at least 6 months in advance for holiday weekends. The Arkansas State Parks system is great, and there are other parks within the system just as nice. State Parks - Arkansas State Parks - Arkansas Tourism - State Park Some of my fav's besides Lake Fort Smith are, Petit Jean & Mt. Nebo.

Nice!

There's more room in there than I would have thought.

This was our view at the nice little vacation spot we found in northern NH:
