Why a golden corral is not in Goldsboro baffles me. All these other businesses are coming here and I know we are definitely big enough for one.

I have not heard any news about that particular franchise coming to the city but there is definitely a place in Goldsboro for Golden Corral

Anyone remember Ryan's? Man that place was so good, even better than Golden Corral. Why in the world did they close that?

This isn't contributing anything but: literally anything is better than Golden Corral.

I don't know why Ryan's closed, it may due to all the competition on Berkeley Blvd but it has since been replaced by Texas Roadhouse.

City officials approved and finalized plans for a new greenways plan for the city, new sidewalks, walking trails, bike lanes and working with the state for the mountain to sea trail to come through the city along the Neuse River, they also want to establish a blueway along the river for kayaking.

Very cool! It will be awesome, once this links up to Smithfield. And then on to the coast.

The first Wal Mart neighborhood market is almost complete at the intersection of hwy 111 and hwy 70, the company has solidified it's presence in the Goldsboro/ Wayne county area with three supercenters, two express stores, and a neighborhood market with more stores coming.

I wonder how a costco would fair in Goldsboro, we have a Sams club and its doing very well. I think costco will give Sams club well needed competition. We have a Sleepys mattress store that just open that will give Mattress firm competition.

The demographics are not there yet for Goldsboro to support a Costco but maybe Greenville will get one soon it would be worth the drive.
