Well the object was to clear out a couple of buildings and have a sale. But I was curious. On the fence about it.

If you keep the lamp you can always sell it later, but if you sell it now you can never change your mind.

IMO if you were to sell it, it could be a $15-20 lamp at a yard sale... depending on your area and your neighborhood. And the price could be pushed higher at a consignment or vintage shop. I don't think that it would do well online because of a lack of an artist's signature or makers mark, and the cost of shipping it.

All very true. I'm going to hang onto it. I even checked the schedule for Antiques Roadshow. LOL

I have another vintage lamp that I love. Something about lamps. I'm utilitarian. I love to use "good china" for everyday dishes, etc.

Yes. Italy. There are so many different markings on Italian porcelain. I'm not finding it.

There are specialty books on Italian pottery marks. For many decades, the Italians produced decorative majolica pottery items that were retailed in many American home furnishings stores.

I wouldn't spend time on finding out which Italian pottery company made your lamp. The person who buys it from you will be buying it because they think that it will look attractive in their home, not because it was made by any particular Italian pottery company. Knowing the company will not add any extra value to your lamp.
