“Beanie Babies” are crap. They were meant to be toddlers’ toys. How they came to be perceived as collectible is a testament to how infantile some Americans are. I’m embarrassed that it was mostly women who fell for this fad. (The same women who wear sweatshirts with teddy bears and “I wuv my gwandkids’ on them.)

I used Beanie Babies as potty training rewards.

I now manage a thrift store, and we sell the clean ones, with tags for $.99 each.
