Not rental cars either. 1 I saw today was a new Tesla. I'll bet they had it shipped here.

I know 2 retirees that just moved into our 'hood from CO, & just today I saw 2 CO car tags.

Florida's a long way from home, so what gives?

Are the Winters that bad there? Why not Arizona?

Are you considering Florida to escape to? Why?

Florida tags aren't uncommon here. But they're outnumbered by Texas plates, almost entirely on the cars of new or even not-so-new residents who maintain Texas registrations to pay lower fees and no taxes.

I'd say, in descending order, it's CO plates (90%), Texas, New Mexico and Florida. Rarely see anything else.

So who knows?

Florida is one of the last places in the country I would want to live.
Weather here is currently beautiful. I biked in shorts yesterday and today.
Crystal clear blue skies 60s-70s, low humidity.
No bugs.
No old people lining up for early bird specials at 4 PM.
Couldn't be better here.
And hoping for some mountain snow and get my first ski day in within a couple of weeks (note - the mountains are very different than the Denver area).

I'm guessing Florida has more beaches than Arizona. Besides, where else in the USA could one see both the sunrise and sunset over water?

A lot of people in the mountains have 2nd homes in Florida and Arizona. It's off season here right now so time to travel before ski season kicks in.

It's still hard to drive 10 minutes in Denver without seeing California plates.

Snowbirds? AZ and NM don't have beaches despite being closer.

Where I'm at, I actually see a fair amount of FL plates on cars. Top states in my area that i see almost daily are TX, CA, FL, IL, MN. However, with several military installations in the region, I can see plates from almost everywhere on any given day, even AK and HI

Funny, I don't see many and as a expat I notice them. I think the factors are against keeping them here.

Go with Montana permanent plates if you can fit into the rules..

Nothing cheap about registering a vehicle in Colorado.
