Are you interested in repositioning cruises to save money? If you are skip that and look for sales.
One way to tell a repositioning cruise is that they are going one way and not returning to the port you leave from for a number of months. For example ships leaving Florida and going all the way through the Panama Canal to Northwestern destinations and then spending a few months in that area (Alaska) would be a repositioning crusie.
I am looking for repositioning cruises just because of their one-way thing. I want to go between the Northwest and Florida.
Look at the cruise companies that sale Alaska in the summer. They will end there Alaska cruises sometime in Sept (guess) and have trips through the Panama Canal to several Fl ports.
Try going to the cruise co's web site and find cruises that go ALL the way through the canal in Sept. You will probably see they are leaving Alaska (Seattle and Vancouver) and going to Fl. That will be your re positing cruise.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned 'Vacations To Go' -- An easy place to locate all kinds of cruises (including re-positioning) - searchable with a wide range of comparative criteria and generally pretty good prices.
Another question: are the cruise prices what they are, no matter whether you book with the line or with a broker? Or are there cheaper places to book than going with the cruise line?
