It will either disintegrate in to political talk, God or racism.

Every. single. time.

Sometimes, when they have articles about science and the history of life on earth or geological history, the ultra conservative creationist christians come out and start going on about creationism and all that stuff. You get a few atheists and liberals too. It's like yahoo! Has become some kind of battlefield.
best example ever

Im tired of seeing in places where honestly it isnt even relevant to the topic or even slightly appropriate. It isnt even an election year and yet everybody seems to be talking about "liberal" media and agenda and conspiracies and so on and so forth. I dont know, maybe Im the weirdo who wanted to talk about music on a music site...
LOL - you are not the weirdo... the people talking about abortion on a music site are. There are appropriate sites to have that conversation, but the music industry doesn't come to mind as the place or "outer topic" to nest in... lol.

Also, keep in mind that many Americans are still in shock over Obama's re-election. There are a lot of Americans that literally hate him. So... I think people are venting in any forum and in any way they possibly can.

Ahhh, the times, they are a changin'.

Ya know I'm old enough to remember when people could discuss differences without the bitterness that appears today. Somehow we as a people have been driven by the TV to take sides. Just some points.
Talk radio.
24 hour nooze R+D
Loss of "Family Values".
and on, and on.

I usually don't take a Right Left political view. Simply because to me they are one coin with two sides. I'm more concerned with the people behind the curtain who are pulling the strings on both sides for their own personal gain.

Same thing happens right here in C-D. Not about politics necessarily, but, almost any topic. Negativity abounds no matter what the subject. I used to tell students if they were negative all the time, they would grow up lopsided.

If you can make the argument an US against THEM game the only winners are the elites representing both extreme sides.

When we point a finger out, we rarely see the other fingers, on our hand, pointing right back at us.
