I'm wondering if it's a liability thing. The DM publishes news quickly, and then later recants or corrects a story. Maybe the US news outlets have to verify facts or otherwise cover themselves before naming names.
Today, for instance, the DM published on their site many stories about the 3 girls rescued in Cleveland -- one story stated that at least 5 babies were born to the girls in the house, and there were several more miscarriages. It may or may not be true -- and so far, no US media outlets have reported that story.
