Did the Founding Fathers think that the way we communicate would develop to what it has? Are there certain parts of the First Amendment that don't apply?
Again, blame the person behind the gun because gun is an inanimate object.
When we can stop being so PC about why people go about doing what they do, then we can start to curb violence. Until then, PC is what kills people.

It's not about what I think, or even what you think.
It's about what the American public as a whole thinks, and I get the feeling they've about had enough.
You do know what an
amendment is, don't you?
A bunch of politicians got together and voted something in.
They can also get together and vote something out again.
Gun supporters act like they rewrote the bible. They didn't, they just amended the law due to public pressure three hundred years ago.
Hopefully this will occur again soon - thankfully we have a democracy.
I sincerely hope Obama will get at least the basics in place while he is president, and I believe he will, probably with the help of a lot of p8ssd off moms who are worried sick about their kids being shot up at school.
Again, gun control is not about stopping honest responsible citizens from owning and using their firearms. It just tightens the law, makes sure basic education and minimum standards take place, much like a drivers licence.
You can still own and drive a car right? Same with your guns, as long as they are legal.
Being so emotive about your so-called "rights" is a complete over-reaction, and displays a woeful lack of education about the issue.
