Thanks for the idea of going during the day and returning to catch the lights at a later time. We've never been and have decided to go this year - but though I LOVE lights, I've never loved crowds. This would be a great compromise. We also go down to Ocean City and walk the Winterfest of Lights, which is lovely. My favorite part of Christmas is the lights - anywhere!!

I already have my reservations for late December but was showing the website to a neighbor, along with how to register. I saw a new option this year is a climate-controlled snow globe that seats 4. I like walking around and seeing things but the snow globe might be a good option for some people. Schellville just gets bigger and better every year. We are so lucky to have it available nearby - and free.

Except the snow globes are a rental for $250 for 2 hours. Or for a Childs birthday $200. The snow globe, food, drinks and roller skating are the only items that have a cost. Entrance is still free.

You're right, nuts2uiam. It looks like the globes can accommodate up to 8 people and the timeframes for Frosty's Fun Night Out are 4:45-6:45P OR 7-9P - for $250. It includes a VIP pass access to the village and "fast pass all lines". A friend is volunteering tonight - I believe - as a host for the snow globe(s), so if I get any interesting information from her experience, I'll pass it along.

We went Friday night. It was a slight misty rain when we got there and it was empty so we did a quick run through and stopped to visit with Santa and the Mrs. who used to go to our church in the North Pole before they relocated to a less snowy part of the North Pole.

We were almost all the way through and it started to pick up to move of a drizzle and within a mere 5 minutes as we boarded the bus, it was pouring. We will be going back. The snow globes were all reserved with a variety of different foods and drinks being consumed therein.

That sounds like a fun volunteer position.

My visit to Schellville is scheduled for this coming Wednesday, December 27. At this point rain is predicted for Tuesday into Wednesday. Hopefully I will be able to go. Last year I was there on one of the coldest nights of the entire winter. My car thermometer read 26 degrees when I got there and 22 degrees as I was leaving. The fire pits were much appreciated by me as was the hospitality tent. Have a wonderful Christmas.

I think the rain is predicted to be over by 5 pm. Enjoy and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
