Not too much news yet it is a little early, except for Walmart, yesterday.

Wow - that is really early. It’s still summer for a few more days. I was in Walmart and Aldi today and lots of fall/Halloween decor.

I hope Schellville again has the option of afternoon entry. I liked the daytime experience, then went back after Christmas to see the lights. It was cold that night, below freezing when I left. We had that very brief cold spell last winter and it was around Christmas.

Thanks - I am glad they have the afternoon option again this year. I did that last year, then went back at night right after Christmas. Daytime was nice but nothing can beat those lights at night. Let’s hope for mostly favorable weather.

This is an event we would've absolutely love to attend. Alas, they explicitly ban pets, and we would never leave our little guy (Pomeranian) at home at night all by himself, feeling all abandoned. He's family and it's the three of us going or nobody's going.

There is an afternoon option - you could probably see everything in less than 2 hours. At night it is so crowded especially near the skating rink, a small dog could be trampled or overwhelmed by the crowd. It would really be worth seeing. Please reconsider.

That is a really an unfortunate choice - you are missing out on an unbelievable evening but everyone has to make choices though and that is certainly your right. I too, am a dog lover and have literally had dogs my entire life. I don't believe my dog feels abandoned when we leave him. Maybe I will ask him. I leave him for a couple or three hours at a time for shopping and other activities and he is very well adjusted to my life style.

Your dog would not enjoy the evening anyway. It is a busy, crowded event and no place for a small dog. You really can't blame them, there are tons of kids and bands and activities and leashes could cause tripping and they don't want the liability of a dog tripping or biting someone.

Thanks for your comments, re: our little dog. Don't disagree. I will say we would never have him on a leash walking around in the crowds. We actually have a pouch just like those you see little infants in, with his four little paws out.
