Kansas City's looks scarier. Denver's is more inviting/clean.

Denver's is just newer. KC has several old Art Deco high rises, which Denver lacks. But KC's skyline hasn't changed since the late 80s. The only high rise added in recent years is the H&R Block building, and it's only about 20 stories. The Sprint Arena and Performing Arts center are new and interesting, but still don't really add to the skyline since they're not skyscrapers.
