Yes. They are both regions that had major growth over the past several decades because the Disney company decided to build theme parks there. I've never been to Florida, so I was curious.

Comparing the 2 is akin to comparing apples and kumquats, with OC, FL coming up short.

you would think that since they are both named "orange county" that they would be pretty much identical places.

Do you think Paris, MO and Paris, France are the same since they have the same name?

how could one think otherwise? same name, must be virtually the same place.

imagine how much money people could save if they would visit the paris in missouri instead of the one in france.

And to think I lived for 28 years in MO, passed through Paris quite a few times, and missed something as big as this;

Moderator cut: copyright violation

I couldnt get beyond seeing this;

You can still rent a nice two bedroom condo or TH for $850 to $900 here. You can also buy an inexpensive condo or TH here for $75,000 and a decent small house for $125.000. Condo fees are in the $150 to $200 a month. Car insurance about $1,000 a yr. for later model car and good coverage. Real estate taxes about $1,200 to $1,500 for house with homestead exemption. Insurance included in condo fees, and on house about $1,500 a yr. Utilities, elec (ac on most of yr) water, sewer and garbage about $225 a month. Now if you buy a big expensive home on the beach or inter coastal, well that's a horse of a different color. By the way, I am only about 4 miles from beach. There are cheaper places in Florida for sure. But I don't find these prices bad for the type of area I get to live in and all that is available here.
I just got a home insurance quote for $1800 on a SFR rental n Sarasota/Bradenton. If I lived there he said it will be $2600/yr. So condos and townhomes have full homeowners ins included?
Do I really need hurricane insurance? seems like a condo/or townhome is the way to go to be on 2nd floor and above possible water damage.
