It looks like I wear the same clothes all the time as all of my work clothes are black (I have to "dress up" for work). I picked a color and only buy clothing in that color. Easy to get dressed, no thinking involved, if something wears out, I still have something to wear with it, and I always look presentable

Sometimes I wear the same clothes multiple times. But when I do that, I will make sure I wash them. I dont mind seeing others wearing the same clothes all the time, as long as they are clean.
I don't really care about fashion, but more about hygiene and excessive frugality.
There's only so many times you can wash a shirt before it starts smelling, especially if you use that shirt for a manual labour job.

Second, why is it your concern who wears what and when? Does it really have that much of an impact on your life? Do you know for sure that those are the absolute same clothes and they have not been washed to your standards? No you don't so butt out and worry about your own clothing.
That is crap and I have no idea who planted that in your head. ALL clothing can be and is washed properly and does NOT smell IF you wash the item properly. I have clothes that are 20 years old that I still wear that do not smell and they have been used for everything from cleaning out the ditch to painting in the house.

The exception is polyester. Polyesters seem to hold onto body odor and it builds up. So those great poly cotton tees my husband likes are not work wear. And if you're doing some manual labor in the heat there's no deodorant/antiperspirant that works. You're going to sweat.
Some people wear the same clothes because they have multiples of it.
If I find a shirt I like for the gym, I sometimes buy several of the exact same shirt if the price is really good.
I also tend to wear a lot of the same colors over and over at the gym, so even if my actual clothing is different, it may still look pretty similar to what I wore the previous day.
I'm not that concerned, because I'm not at the gym to make a fashion statement.
Here's an article of famous people who dress the same:
I wear plain colored T's. I have several identical colored ones.
I just take the top one off the stack. A couple times I have noticed it happens that it looks like I wear the same clothes 2x in a row.
So what.
Ive got Brooks Brothers to wear when its called for... but id rather be comfortable
If you ever saw me workout, you would see how much I sweat, which is a lot! Eventually that shirt will have an 'odor' after I've worn it a year, close to 50-60 times worn.
OP - what is your definition of "old"? Wear just once and throw them out? Or wear for 6 months and then throw them?
I would never wear an item only once and throw it out. That is being too wasteful. I still have clothes that are 10 years old, only worn a few times that still fit perfectly.
By old I mean for example when the dark navy blue shirt has become a baby blue color, or that neckline on that shirt has been stretched out to the max. Or there are small holes in your clothing.
I can tell by some of the comments my topic has touched a nerve of sorts.
