I use Oxyclean, and get it on sale with a $3.00 coupon, which makes it $1.97 at Walmart. I have about six bottles of it, plus two bottles of Persil that I got with $5.00 coupons.

I haven't used all the brands of detergent, so can't say what is best. Tide does an excellent job.

I make the homemade. It costs me about $1 to make two gallons. It cleans as good as the tide and lasts as long. It's low suds and can be used in the front loading machines. Fragrance free so it is allergy safe for most people.

Where did you find the coupons?

Many times you can just google and find them at manufacturer websites if they are offering at the time or here is a google link for 'laundry detergent coupons' which will give you various brands that are offering coupons. https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q...ergent+coupons

It will be a hit-or-miss type thing depending upon when you google. Some sites let you sign up for newsletter or coupon notices.

Here is the link for Oxiclean but you do have to register to see and/or get the coupons:

Tide gives me a rash, for some reason Costco's Kirkland brand doesn't so that's what I use. It seems to clean just fine.

On the internet. You have to check all of the coupon sites for new coupons. I also subscribe to several blogs, and people will list what new coupons have just been posted on the sites. There are different coupons every month, so it's not a matter of a routine thing.

The Oxy-Clean coupons are that currently out, are only for $1.00. I only buy it if I get a $3.00 coupon. Otherwise, it's not worth it to buy more, and I already have six bottle of it, so I won't run out anytime soon.

Personally, I don't like Tide. It's very harsh, irritates my skin, and shortens the life of my clothes.

I like Sun. Usually discount stores like Big Lots will have it, where you can get the huge size (125 loads) for about $8. I like their dishwasher detergent, too.

Totally agree. WAY too many chemicals and perfumes in that stuff. It's nasty.

Google 'ecoeggs', I buy from eBay. Shipped from the UK. Work fine for me for general washing eg sheets and pillowcases, singlets. Otherwise I keep a stash of a Japanese laundry detergent when it appears in my town Reject Shop for $3 a container, and I use 1/3 the recommended amount. (I am in Australia).
