Hmmm...if I bought an ocean front condo, and I happily told you about it, it was because I thought you'd be happy for me, that I get to realize my long held dream.

And if you can't be happy for me, than I seriously misjudged our friendship.

SUCH a catty remark. People wanting to move to the beach in retirement is super common.

We have a big-ish house, which only has to do with us in our retirement, it's not so show off to anyone.

Our's is 2800 sq ft. It prevents divorce during retirement and pandemics.

It also gives guests a place to stay without any upheaval in our day-to-day.

Sure it is definitely more than we need, but it is the house we liked the most for a bunch of other reasons. Such as fully fenced, and fully landscaped, and multiple out buildings.
