I bought the iphones outright so it's a clean bill. Not sure the prices people quote here is the total price. I have at least $30 in various government fees.

I am also a little weary going with "off-brand" providers, like Cricket, MetroPCS or this Straight Talk.
Some prepaid virtual network operators are companies are that are wholly owned by their parent companies.
On July 12, 2013, AT&T Inc. agreed to acquire Cricket's parent company Leap Wireless International for $1.2 billion.
In October 2012, the company, then known as MetroPCS, reached an agreement to merge with T-Mobile USA.
Similar to Marriot hotels, you have multiple brands so as not to diffuse your main brand

I am also a little weary going with "off-brand" providers, like Cricket, MetroPCS or this Straight Talk. Not sure who they are and what their service looks like. What if you go abroad?
Another StraightTalk user and I'm very happy with their service. I was given the choice to use their AT&T or Verizon sim and I chose AT&T since that's who I was using in the past. My bill dropped from $70 a month to $45 a month several years ago. Originally they only offered 5GB plans, but for the same price they've been increasing data cap and I think it's around 10GB now. Also if you link your CC for auto enrollment you get a discount, so really I'm paying $43.xx.
I use a Moto G5S and it's an unlocked phone . I can use any GSM SIM worldwide.
My ATT GoPhone (LG) cost $75 upfront and the monthly is $30. I get unlimited data but that's a farce.. after 1G it slows to a crawl but i rarely hit the 1G limit.. I browse the internet daily on my phone but do not watch any shows on it and don't often listen to music on it either.

We have T-Mobile. 2 numbers, unlimited everything, $60/mo.
And, T-Mobile is great in Europe. You land, you turn on your phone and you have service. Free data. 25¢/minute for phone calls—we use FaceTime for free.
Verizon unlimited everything....$45 a month. You’re getting screwed
