Publix has Tombstone pizzas for $1.79. We plan to get 10 multi cheese and add green olives, baby shrimp and other toppings we don't get in other frozen pizzas. It's a stock up price. The $ we save will buy the shrimp and olives, etc.

Friend wants us to get them some. We asked how many and they said 2.
They do not seem to think it's a sale to take advantage of.

Final costs as low as $.04.
Being economic, frugal, cheap, etc. how many boxes would you buy and why?
Would the coupon only apply to two boxes? Maybe I've been doing it wrong...

Yes save 75 cents when you buy two. The particular store doubles all coupons up to 99 cents. So the two boxes were $1.58 and the coupon took off $1.50 = 4 cents each.

We did not buy the 10 pizzas as the shelf price was different than the sales circular. They were around 80 cents higher so we only got 2. That pizza is buy one get one free quite often so we'll wait.

Like many said "Depends on your taste for pasta" I might go 10 myself.

I was rolling past a guy repricing granola bars (Quaker brand) they retail for $2.28 he priced them for $0.48 I said "I'll take them all" 65 boxes for $31.40 65 × 8 520 granola bars 8 cents each.

I have 2-3 bars 3-4 times a week. Great snack and low calories also. I guess if I get tired, could drop them off at food bank....

Freschetta pizzas and $5.54 and buy one get one free. (3) $1/1 coupons so we got 4 pizzas for $8.08.
Beats another store that has Tombstone 3/$10.

Pizza takes up a lot of room. Maybe they don't have the freezer space to spare.

I like your idea of adding the toppings you like to it.

Never ends up being wise thing to get too greedy. I still remember living off campus going to college with extremely limited budget. I hit some sale where tomato soup was like 20 cans for $1 (yea long time ago). Oh boy.... think I got 40 cans. I never did eat all that soup. Finally threw away bunch of it. Still have zero desire for tomato soup.

I am diabetic so no pasta for me, but even if I wasnt, think maybe half dozen boxes at most, and only if it was a brand I liked and would eat within a year. Some pasta is not very good. Pasta can also get old tasting. Safe to eat probably but not very tasty. Oh and pasta like many grain products can have those miller moth eggs in it that hatch while it sets in your cupboard. Yea from eggs in the product, not some moth that got in from local environment. Course once you see the moths, you end up having to throw away all the grain/flour products. Well unless you like a bit fluttery protein in your spaghetti. Might want to keep some excess grain products in freezer so any eggs dont hatch.

I have been buying boxes of Kind Bars (5 or 6 count) for $0.50-1.00 and the 12 pack for $1.99.

A few years ago, I bought 24-16 oz cans of salmon for $0.25/ can at Walgreens. That was a great deal.

Me too, we only get the whole wheat, and Barilla is lower in Calories, Carbs and Sugar than Mueller. It often goes on sale for $1.
