I'm glad we got the Freschetta for $1.75. The new sale is 2 for $10.

As I said, I simply don't need (or want) 5 of most things...very few that I can think of actually.

OK. My Misread.
Don't know that I've ever seen buy 2, get 3.

I see buy, two get 1. OR Buy one, get one.

Buy it cheap and stack it deep, I like to keep the pantry full. Blizzards, hurricanes, extended power outages, or lockdowns, we're all set. Bring on the zombies!

Those are specific to (as far as we know) Harris Teeter which has stores in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Delaware, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
Quite often they do Pepsi and Coke 12 packs, store brand ice cream, some brands of pizzas and others. Their prices on Coke and Pepsi are somewhat high and the sale may be deceiving and we always do the math before jumping.

I have been making a lot of bulk purchases recently to stock up.

12 cans of San Marzano style tomatoes for $1 each.
6 24 oz cans of canned pork for $1.99 each

In periods of high inflation, you lock in deals whenever you can.

If I had children and/or cooked a lot of pasta, I would buy all of them, depending on the expire date.

I may even sell a few for three for $1.
