"No polls" and "No one-liners" are the two most frequently forgotten or ignored rules in Great Debates. If you're wondering why a post of yours has been deleted, it may be due to this.
There is a reason why one-line posts are not allowed. Great Debates is a debate forum, and one-liners (which often range from snarky remarks mistaken by the poster for "wit" to reiterations of what others have already stated) do not add anything of value to the discussion.
Please try to put thought and effort into your posts in this forum. To quote the rules for Great Debates:
"Only respond if you have a new argument or viewpoint to add, not just to reiterate previous points or to say that you agree or disagree."
