As we have seen over the past few days, plans change. I don't know what the ACC is going to do but it would not surprise me if the next site location is postponed a year.

Why? The ACC is already contractually obligated to be in DC next year and NYC in 2022. Maybe they'll throw Greensboro a bone and hold it here in 2023... But I wouldn't bet on it.

ACC commissioner hinted today about a "rain check" on the ACC Tournament in Greensboro. But there are no guarantees.

Do you have a source or link for that? All I see is this article:

https://www.journalnow.com/sports/co...77ef9d7.html#4

It clearly attributes that sentiment to the sportswriter who penned the article, Not John Swofford.

Yep. I suspect it's possible (not definite or even probable) Greensboro might get the 2023 tournament due in part to the current events. But certainly nothing has been said not would it have been to hint at that.

Most likely, Greensboro gets the 75th ACC Tournament (2027 I think) and that's it. Short of a major boom in Greensboro, I don't see the tournament coming back for a long time if ever. Charlotte is just a much better location and tradition can only make up some of that gap.

Charlotte has never been in the rotation that much. In fact less than Greensboro despite having the shiny Spectrum arena downtown. Greensboro will get it again much sooner but I suspect Brooklyn will be in the rotation more than any other city which honestly doesn't make sense because most of the ACC schools are in the south. Atlanta is pretty much out of the running due to the SEC Tournament which is often held in Atlanta

The SEC tournament will be in Nashville throughout the decade... except maybe one year... so Atlanta would be an option. I could see the ACC back in Greensboro in 2023 and 2028.
