Huntington Mayor Steve Williams proposed at the Huntington Municipal Development Authority meeting, Nov. 24, that the city prepare a package and compete in the America's Best City competition sponsored by Frontier Communications.
"We think we have a compelling proposal," Williams said, calling the competition a robust one for the city , state and nation. "It will advance the city for the next 50 years."
This could be HUGE for the city. Being able to do much of the planning and prep work will set the stage for wholesale changes and catalyze some potentially amazing developments for the area.
It was posted in this thread back in July. This is a good update on it though. This is a really good project and I hope to see more of this type of development.
