That's the difference between you and me. If I were to enter a country illegally, it would weigh heavily on my conscience.
As for all those people getting amnestied---it was wrong in every case.
I stand by what I wrote---It doesn't matter where in the world an illegal alien is from. Nor does it matter if they sneaked across a border or overstayed a visa. They all have one thing in common and that is this --- they have no business being here and need to leave.
Nothing that you could write will change my mind on this topic. I've seen the corrosive effects of illegal immigration up close and know how harmful it is to this country --- and any other country for that matter.

It hasn't made me any less moral, and doesn't weigh on my conscience at all. There's only one case of a country where I made "illegal entry" that I can talk about anyway. I was right on the border, but walking back and forth through the desert probably would have got me shot eventually.

But you still haven't answered me what you think about a former illegal alien going back to their home country to be - eventually - re-admitted to the United States...
No one has any business coming here illegally, whether it is by sneaking across a border or overstaying a visa. If someone thinks that s/he has a genuine claim for asylum, s/he needs to tell a border patrol agent or a customs agent.
If I entered a country illegally (which I would never do) I would fully expect to be deported. Why do you feel it should be any different for those who are in this country illegally?
No one has any business making laws which make it "illegal" to enter a country. How about that?
Maybe they should have told how many American contractors that this man displaced by taking jobs from them. There's always another side to the story. Illegal actions do have consequences.
Yes and the fact that some illegals give birth here doesn't make them somehow special -- they now think that they should exploit their children to get around the immigration laws -- why?
The ones coming here to give birth are actually the most costly illegals. They are the most welfare dependent illegals -- why would someone who didn't have children be deported but those having children that get them welfare handouts stay? We would now "punish" the more responsible?
Joules---You are for open borders and unlimited legal and illegal immigration. Why is that? It seems to me that you haven't thought through the consequences that come with such an irresponsible policy.
IBM---Since, for some reason, you are being overly persistent---I would rather see an illegal alien go back to his/her own country and obey the law, which says that once you are deported, you have to wait 10 years to apply to come here legally. And after doing that, s/he gets denied a green card, then s/he stays in his/her own country, or applies to live in another country. Satisfied now?
If you are here illegally or came here illegally you need to get out... Pack up and shipped off ... Plain and simple. Do it the right legal way , fill out what you need to then we will welcome you no matter what race you are.

Why would we let them back if they are still illegal?

NO country allows illegal aliens. Even Mexico is tough on them. Hell; word is in Mexico a citizen CAN detain an illegal, we need that same law here in the US.
