Publix -- We need a good, upper level supermarket. Bi-Lo was great, but they pulled out of the market. Super Target is close, but it's small and there's only one.

Publix - the best all-around supermarket on the planet
Trader Joe's - gourmet prepared foods on a budget
Costco - it's like Sam's Club but nicer
Macy's - it's in Memphis and Nashville, even dumpy Jackson TN has a Macy's. Why not Knoxville?
La Madeleine - ok this is a restaurant and not a store. But it's a chain of French restaurants that's really, really good and not too expensive.
And the one that will make me squeal like a little girl if it ever comes to Knoxville: IKEA.
