"More South Asians live in Artesia and Woodland Hills, but for many immigrants, Venice Boulevard was their first stop."

An exploration of Los Angeles's large yet overlooked Indian community:

https://ericbrightwell.com/2024/04/0...n-los-angeles/

"Some suburbs, like Culver City, Irvine, Santa Clarita, and Torrance, which have noticeable Indian presences — even though in none do Indians make up the most or second-most numerous ethnicities. "

I've spent a lot of time around the South Bay and honestly Indians never stood out to me as a particularly present community. I think amidst the much stronger East Asian and Mexican influences, it's just kinda flying under the radar.

I grew up in the South Bay and I have never really seen much in the way of Indians being that visible. It was always Koreans and Japanese when I was growing up. Even now when I go back, I wouldn't say it is that visible.

If you want to see explosive Indian growth and insane visibility, the suburbs north of Dallas or the suburbs near San Jose.

There's definitely areas here in Northern Virginia where it is a very visible community as well. I think there's some very self-conscious and intentional clustering going on.
