She is a "white black woman".

Also you mentioned this story isn't getting media attention, but it is a top story on Google news.

and the front homepage of CNN.COM

I hope it does continue to get attention and I hope this case is solved.
Local radio stations covered it, but it was overshadowed by Ali Syed.

Quite frankly, the Lam story interested me more than the Orange County rampage.

It's not a huge area and the city , small businesses and residents have invested a lot of money and time to turn around downtown la. The city should be on the side of the taxing , law abiding citizens instead of these scumbags. Enough with the politically correct bull**** in this city that treats the scumbag class like GOLD to the detriment of everyone else.
What "scumbags"?

Would you care to be specific?

Would you care to state clearly what individuals you describe as "scum of the earth" and shamelessly explain why you feel that way?

This sounds like something out of a noir movie.
LOL - you can be anywhere between Santa Barbara, San Ysidro, Beaumont, and Santa Monica and be near someone who might be a "criminal".

From the "Onion Field" to the "Water Tank".

I wonder what John Fante would have done with this story.

This is a sad case. I did read that an occupant of one of the rooms did say the water "tasted funny." Someone else had said the shower water came out black, then after a little while, it came out clear again.

The autopsy is inconclusive. I still see don't see any mention of her family, which bothers me. She was so young to be on her own in a city with which she was unfamiliar.
