Yep (what the hell was I thinking!). And then when you give them the answer to their question, you're like the guy that ended the party. Ultimately what the usual suspects want to do is go on for the next 20 pages quoting gas station prices from here to Death Valley, because that's so much more efficient than going to a site, plugging in a zip code, and finding the lowest gas prices near you.

I suppose I should explain to Finper that the reason I rolled with that little series of comments was a hint: that her post [asking why you (blameyourself) posted as you did] was, ironically, trolling, exactly as you were pointing out people do so mindlessly here. *Wooooosh!* eh?

Woooosh indeed and I'm not going to bother putting food on the table.

Interesting that you would jump to that conclusion. Seems prematurely defensive. Quite telling.

My sister said gas cost her about $6.50/gallon. I'm not surprised it's that high. It's about $3 more per gallon than it was when I left in 2020. Where I live now is about $3/per gallon more than it was for all of 2020.

Seems CA is on track with the added expense as other places.

There are gas stations (mainly Arcos) in the 5.75-6 range if you know where to look. Blocks away a namebrand station will be 6.50.

ARCO, in CA years ago, had a lot of issues with the calibration of their pumps (in their favor, of course).

I haven't used Arco in years - is it still cash or debit card only?

I think ARCO retains that for the price break over the other brand named stations. However many ARCO stations are now be rebranded as Sinclair stations with the same cash and higher credit prices like the other big brands across the street from them. While ARCO's price is stillabout the same as the independents
