What is happening on the south shore lately? This is horrific. Mother killed two kids, attempted to kill her 8 month old baby (who is now in critical condition) and then attempted unsuccessfully to kill herself.

This appeared to be a happy family, dad was apparently out getting dinner, mom is a Labor and Delivery nurse. I understand people get depressed but this seems insane. Sounds like postpartum psychosis. I'm guessing the mother will wish she was dead.

I don't know...I've never seen anything like this. I'm tired of hearing about 'untreated mental illness'. Plenty of people with mental illness don't kill. Just so bizarre and sad. Seems like having kids is just difficult for many people these days.

The entire time I have lived in the south shore it has been extremely sleepy for the most part, the past few months have been insane: 1.) guy drives into Apple Store in Hingham, killing one and injuring others 2.) older couple murdered in their Marshfield home 3.) chainsaw wielding psycho attacks Cohasset police station leading to a hostage situation involving his kids 4.) Ana Walshe is murdered by her sociopath husband in Cohasset 5.) now this in Duxbury - all in a roughly 2 month span

3 kids under the age of 6, add in juggling finances to support the high cost of living in MA, plus whatever personal, relationship and/or mental health issues may also be in the mix and it could really be a recipe for disaster to put some people over the edge.

There was also a 6 year old little girl from Duxbury who died of a 'sudden illness' right before Christmas. It was a respiratory illness and she had been perfectly healthy. Still investigating what happened, but so strange and sad.

also a Kingston murder/suicide of a husband/wife back in October that didn't get much coverage:

Not sure what you mean by the Bridgewater triangle?

I was thinking the same thing. Sounds like in the Walshe case they had money but were living above their means with 3 kids under 6

The latest Duxbury case sounds like it could be a couple biting off more than they could chew. They didn't pay much for their house in 2018 (500k) but I have no idea what their financial situation was. Having 3 kids under 5 is no joke. I wish people would think harder about having kids.
