I've talked about the 10 yrs of clinical depression but I worked and went on with life but a terrible depression, it was a sluggish thyroid and since that "fix" life changed for me in that respect.

Adrenals suffer too and over the years I worked with many different adrenal supports. Right now I'm good and sleep good and get up and move but with my joints don't move that much. But not depressed.

I take 2500mcg B12 daily and some other B vitamins and of course that great D3 and K2. And all the magnesium I take could help in many areas of my body.

Thanks for the reminder! There's a reason for music therapy

'Everybody Dance Now' as the 90s tune says. 'Music is my life' is the BEST lyric on it...

When I mentioned the magnesium as being a helper I hadn't looked for info on that..there are a lot of links. I take most days 800mg daily spread thru the day.

I'm not sure about recovery from depression by pretending its not there.
People can recover, I did.
I see depression, especially anxiety as a necessary evil, not actual evil but a necessary component of a healthy mind , because its a warning signal that something is wrong at a deeper level.

Very true.

My psychologist said a large majority of those with severe depression experienced abuse of some sort as a child....the warning would be to address those issues through therapy.

Pretending depression is not there is a sure recipe for disaster. Like pretending a heart attack isn't there, but it may take longer.
