I'd like some snow for the firearm deer season. Last year's season it was way too warm. Everyday it was in the 50's, I even had flies and mosquitoes buzzing around the blind.

We'll have a white Christmas I think. Last year we got dumped on December and January...then got nothing.

Me too!! I have never hunted up here before so I really hope it snows. I've always hunted in Louisiana the day after Thanksgiving EVERY YEAR. It was never cold and ALWAYS rained. I also hunt in Texas if course and it was a little colder than normal last year but generally it's pretty warm during bow and firearm season..... I'm hoping I'll have a reason to wear my fleece this year!

That you will. Dress warm and enjoy the great outdoors.

The snow is great for tracking, should you need to. Best thing about snow is the visibility in the woods. Lights everything up for low-light conditions. Deer cant hide, they walk around like they are lit up with neon.

Now you're preaching to the choir, baby! My perfect winter is snow on Thanksgiving day and snow on the ground from the middle of December to Valentine's Day. On February 15th, it can all start melting away, thank you very much. I want to see green grass and daffodils by March! Just like the long springs and cooler summers of my youth!

What you talkin' 'bout Willis?

Where is this utopia where you grew up?

Long springs, cool summers, and white christmases????

I thought that was like the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy.

But does it have color and Michigan's wild sky....

Hubs and I are homesick already. You guys didn't tell me that the weather systems create skies that rival the fall color.... Perhaps even put it to shame.

We've only been gone a week, and we're already miserable. We're not real Michiganders yet!!! LOL....

Well, now that the leaves are off the trees in most of the state I say bring it on!
Snow just never looks right with full or partial tree foilage.

Yeah..bring it on Mother nature! After all Michigan is a winter wonderland, and if your gonna live in a state that is gonna be cold...you might as well have snow along with it. I would much rather see white then brown in winter.
