As a fellow officer of Marines I will acknowledge our leader of Marines lapse in judgment albeit, I refuse to disagree with the Lt. Colonel sentiment and statements.

But his methods? Should he have resigned and then taken action? Asking with all the respect deserved to both of you.

well I am a civilian, he seems to be a good Marine I want to defend the country.

I say, give him honorable discharge, he deserves all the pay and military benefits. No need to punish a good military man with such a harsh punishment. Not like he really did something illegal. sheesh.

By the books, yes he should have resigned before making such criticism.

From what I understand, he could have continued serving and would have been allowed to retire. He chose to resign his commission without the benefit of pension, etc. But he's already had millions raised on his behalf, so I think he'll be ok.
