Everyone,

As most of you have already heard, the state of Montana is trying to pass a bill (H.B. 191) to ban the pitbull breed in Montana! I have started a website to petition this bill and will bring a printed copy of the results to the hearing on Thursday. Please, even if you dont own a pitbull, show your support by signing the petition. As an individual, there is almost nothing we can do, but together we can make a difference!

Please visit http://savethepitbulls.bitsurge.net/and sign your name to the petition, and help us stop this outrageous bill!

Anyone who would like more information or can offer other ways to help or show your support, please contact me by reply email to this post!

Thanks for your time

Sorry, I am not at all concerned with whether they ban pitbulls or not. I have no desire to ever have one.
Now, if they wanted to ban Beagles or Corgis, it might be different.

If I lived there I would sign it. Sorry I can't help. It's NOT the breed they need to band it's the people who own them. Pit bulls are a wounderful breed when raised with good people. Like I have said in other posts you can make ANY breed/dog bad. Being a groomer I see lots of dogs never once have I had a bad Pit Bull (I have a lot that come in) however I have had bad labs (among other breeds), been bit by one (lab). Pit bulls are actually good family dog but agian it's the owner.

I am a Golden retriever loyalist. However, think about it, Pitbulls today, Beagles tomorrow. Do you really want the government telling you what kind of dog you can have?

I was attacked by a Pitbull, so I've seen close up how dangerous these dogs can be. I agree part of the problem is with the owner but there's no question the dogs have a tendency to be aggressive.

I would support this legislation. I'm not a fan of aggressive dogs be they pit bulls, German shepherds or little barky punt dogs. (A 'punt dog' is a pesky little canine jerk that you'd just love to punt half way down the block!)

I have a 7 year old Golden Retriever that feels the same way. He doesn't bark or bite and actually whines pitifully when confronted by barking or aggressive dogs!!
