My pet peeve (and its been getting worse) are the drivers who pull out right in front of you and then go 20mph below the speed limit. This has probably taken at least 6 months off my life due to the stress and spike in blood pressure it causes. I could be the only car in the entire road, cruising at 60mph in a 50 and some dotard pulls right out 10ft in front of me, and then decides to go 30mph for the next 6 miles. Every single time.
I’m not a speed demon by any stretch of the imagination, but I’m with you on this one. Drives me berserk…
My pet peeve as a cop and civilian has always been the lack of blinker usage.
An intersection by my house is very dependent upon blinker usage. It dictates how one positions their car while waiting to turn onto my block. All too frequently, on other side, someone will fail to use their blinker, causing a jam up where two cars block each other. It’s maddening.
That seems to have become a huge thing in recent years, not using the blinker.
Here’s a list of the roads they’re concentrating on. Be careful they may be pulling people over for as little as 5mph over. That’s just a money grab IMO. They’re being told to write a ticket every 10 to 20 minutes.
Like shooting fish in a barrel. The portions of the GSP and NJT that are set at 55 are built-in speed traps if the cushion is only 5 mph.

Probably some truths to this based on vehicle design. I had a BMW and the blinker was overengineered and too complicated/annoyance for quick lane changes to use. Apparently they made an update to their blinkers or offering multiple electronic options on how blinker turnstock works in the newest BMW's but something that's always been an issue.
On another note, I personally just stopped using my blinker when having to pass New York drivers hogging up the left lanes in the state.

Around the same time, their bikes had a different turn signal design than every other MC on the road. They’ve since updated to a one-handed operation like the rest of the world.
